The Living Hope Foundation is a non-denominational support group for cancer patients, caregivers, family, and friends who want to help.

It actually began as a response to an event sponsored by the Cancer Treatment Centers of America called Our Journey of Hope, in March, 2006.

The objective of the Foundation meetings is to bring spiritual support- to educate and inform, to bring hope, to befriend, to encourage and to pray for.

The Foundation meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:00—8:30 pm. Each meeting will feature a speaker discussing pertinent issues, an inspiring testimony from someone who has weathered the storm of cancer and an opportunity for prayer.

Praise be to the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion
and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our
troubles, so that we can comfort
those in any trouble with the comfort
we ourselves have received from God.

If you are a patient...
You will find that the Living Hope Foundation is helpful because it shows you that you are not alone. There are others that have, with God’s help, successfully navigated through a season of cancer. They have experienced the dark places and have faced the questions you may be asking. They understand the fears, the grief, and the feelings of loss of control. There are people that have been in the same circumstances that you find yourself in and are now living active, healthy lives. It is also encouraging to know there are others who are willing to share God’s wisdom, love and hope because they know first-hand what it is like to walk the cancer road. Being a patient, you need to know that God has a purpose in all things, to draw us to Himself and create a desire in you that wants to lean upon Him in every situation. You need to know that He has not forgotten you and that He has provided a place where you can find answers and experience His peace amidst the storm. Let us walk alongside you through this season. Let us pray with you. Let us help you draw from the grace of God and the strength of others. You will find people with listening hearts at the Living Hope Foundation.

If you are a caregiver...
If you are one who cares for a patient in a primary way, then you want to know what you can do to help in tangible and creative ways. If you are a spouse, this affects you directly. Your world is turned upside-down. You may need to be the strong one, keeping a balance in the home, providing hope and encouragement all the while keeping yourself on an even keel. The season is draining and trying. The family structure is profoundly affected. Life will never be quite the same and you are needing to find a new normal. Yet God is there for you also. He wants you to know His love, strength and grace to help get you through this difficult time. This is a stressful time that you, too, will get through. There is hope for the future. Let us help hold you up. We want to pray with you.

If you are family or friend…
If you are a family member or a friend, you want your help to be practical. You may want to learn how to support the cancer patient and their families in spiritual, emotional and physical ways. Perhaps you need information on how you can help provide a sense of community for the affected family. Discover how you can help with the recovery process with a positive focus. Come and learn hands-on tools on how you can be a true friend with the ones you love and care about. There is something here for you.

Alaine’s Story
At age 44, Alaine was diagnosed with Stage-3 Breast Cancer in October, 2003. After a double-mastectomy, with lymph node involvement, chemotherapy was deemed necessary. Alaine wanted to find a treatment facility that would care for the whole person. That would mean cutting-edge technology, an aggressive medical treatment, supplemented with naturopathic medicine to build-up her body, as well as spiritual counseling. Alaine found this at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Being a pastor’s wife, mother of two adult daughters and a grand-daughter that she cares for, Alaine has drawn upon her faith in the Lord. She has had many reasons to fight this battle and to overcome this disease. Since no one knows the number of their days, Alaine has literally committed all her ways to the Lord. She knew God had a plan for her life. During this time, Alaine grew closer to the Lord than ever before. Cancer truly has changed the way she views and approaches life. By becoming educated about what cancer can and cannot do, she has become proactive on the decisions for her medical treatments. Alaine now celebrates being cancer free for almost 3 years. Alaine knew God would not waste this season of her life. He has ordered her steps by using her experience with cancer to support and encourage others by helping to found the Living Hope Foundation; a ministry arm of the church she pastors with her husband Denny, Living Hope Fellowship. One of the greatest advantages in getting through tough times as these, is obviously early detection, but also having a strong support system around you, total confidence in your medical team, and giving your body the nutrition it needs to fight back. Our faith-walk in God is the primary factor in being a cancer overcomer, and not just a cancer survivor.
